How many nights do you stay up late just because you can? Guilty!!!
We can exhaust ourselves running to this and that, exploring the latest beach or the greatest roller coaster. Miles on the legs means rest for the body.
Remember, you can’t catch up on sleep. Yet all you do is keep burning the candles at both ends.
What would fall a part if you did slow down? You may actually might love life more, increase your energy, and wear a bigger smile — all good for you and the family!
But seriously, what healthy habits can reboot your summer? If it’s too hot, who wants to do anything.
Well your body needs fuel and movement regardless of the season. Think about how much you are really running around with an elevated heart rate?
Not too much unless you’re headed for the opening night of your favorite movie.
Even during the summer, you have to be intentional with your health. Health doesn’t happen because you think of it.
Health happens because you DO IT!!!

What can you do to be your best selfie?
The K.I.S.S. ~ Listen to Your Calling!
- Hydrate more regularly.
- This is the most basic, but the most challenging. You want to drink throughout your day, therefore your bladder won’t explode at night. 😉
- If you need help drinking, you can use water bottles with numbers. Or you can use a galloon of water and mark with with times of the day to show the goals of when you have to drink.
- Prioritize more sleep.
- As you know, you can’t catch up on sleep. Your body only rejuvenates when you sleep. It repairs which build muscles when you sleep. It rids the body of toxins. YOU NEED SLEEP!
- Do your best to keep your sleep pattern a schedule.
- Make fitness work for you.
- When you don’t have time to “workout”. Make your “workout” fit your day.
- Swim with the kiddos. Don’t sit and bake in the sun.
- Take the children for a walk when you go to the park.
- Snack Smart.
- Eat REAL foods.
- Clear the pantry and shop the farmer’s markets.
- Play in the kitchen. Experiment with different foods.
- Smile with your heart.
- Live your life with your heart. Don’t overthink so much of where you wished you were.
- You are here right now! So create your now and be your best selfie.
