Why is it that everything seems to stem from attacks and being on the defensive side of life? What happened to the voice of love?
Love is what we are asked to do, even our enemies. If we are to love our enemies, why do we not love our neighbors and our families?

Life can be so cut throat. Everybody listening to the WIIFM station (What’s in it for me?).
Selfishness seems to be the heartbeat of the world.
- Getting out of a jammed up parking lot.
- People who are impatient at stoplights and run the red lights.
- Picking up lunch in the drive-thru only to find you have to wait 10 minutes for fresh food, not 2 minutes for food that’s been sitting for 15 minutes.
The self needs to be served and that’s the mindset. WIIFM!!!
With a self-serving mindset, all you have to show for it is exhaustion for what isn’t working. It’s always you against the world.
My son came home today and told me about his science group. He wasn’t real happy as the people he was partnered with really don’t care about working and doing their part of the experiment.
You could tell in his sharing with me that it bothered him.
I told him I understood what he was saying. But we can’t always work with exactly the people who will do their part; pull their own weight.
As the conversation continued, I mentioned to him that he has an opportunity to lead his group mates and help them understand the importance of working together.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Echo the voice of love!
The voice of love comes in all shapes, sizes, and situations. Our children even have to step up to the plate. You and I have to do it too!
Life isn’t about living for conveniences and self-serving actions.
It’s about the voice of love.
- Loving people where they’re at.
- Leaving the judgement to God.
- Leading them instead of belittling them.
Echo the voice of love. You don’t even have to work extra hard to go out of your way.
30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” ~ Mark 12:30-31
“As your family and friends gather this holiday season, remember to echo the voice of love.”
