My heart bleeds red with the celebration of Valentine’s Day and Heart Health Month. Take care of your heart, so it can take care of you!
The body is so amazing, that rarely we stop long enough to really process the intricate workings of our internal organs.

We take for granted everything working properly until the unthinkable happens.
Instead of waiting for the moment when you hit the brick wall, let’s celebrate your heart and learn how you can better care for your heart and yourself.
The obvious ways you can take care of your heart is:
- Fall in love with you! Watch your weight. You want your weight to work for you, not against you. If need be, get into a healthy range.
- Breathe fresh air! Quit smoking if you smoke. Stay away from second hand smoking.
- Know your numbers (cholesterol and blood pressure). Control your cholesterol and manage your blood pressure.
- Toast to your day! Limit alcohol consumption. Work in conjunction with your healthcare provider to determine what is your limit. Also listen to your body.
- Love the natural! Eat real. Eat healthy. Don’t consume a lot of extra refine sugar (Reduce blood sugar).
- Dance in your day! Be active with intentional movement in your daily life. It is recommended that you need 150 minutes of exercise (intentional movement) a week.
