Sometimes we can come across like a bully in our own house. “As for me and my house, I want it this way.” How are you leading your family?
Now you might be familiar with the Bible verse, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” ~ Joshua 24:15

But how much are you modeling that for your children?
Palm Sunday is this weekend. We’ll be celebrating Easter next weekend.
I have to wonder if we are raising our children to our own level of earthly expectations. Or are we raising up our children to God’s heavenly directives and standards?
God modeled His love by sending His son Jesus Christ to walk on this earth.
Sometimes we can get wrapped up in everyone else’s business, staying focused on the activities and the busyness of the day, but leaving out the fact that we are responsible for impressionable children.
What is happening within your four walls of your home?
You can choose to care for the world you touch outside those perimeters, but the greatest responsibility and toughest assignment is within your own home.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” ~ Joshua 24:15
I look at how God takes care of us as His children. Are we doing that for our children?
This is not about how you are raising your children, just a time of check and balances.
The season of Easter is a precious and beautiful holiday, one I personally treasure along with Christmas.
It’s a time to look and ask what you’re doing in your own home? How are you meeting the needs of your children, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually?
What can you do to raise up children with God at the helm?
The K.I.S.S. ~ Pray together!
You can go to church together. You can eat together. You can shop together.
But what will change your child and how he/she sees himself/herself is prayer!
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. ~ Jeremiah 29:11-12
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Let’s pray!”
