The challenge is not always knowing what to do or how to do it. It’s all in the follow-through.
In my limited sales training, you are taught that the money is in the follow-up. The same goes for a marriage.

We can talk all we want about how we want to act and treat our spouse, and make changes to our attitude. But until you put your words into actions, you are simply blowing smoke. Let’s be real!
It’s all in the follow-through.
You can’t make a change or difference without taking a different action, or a different approach.
So look at your marriage. Don’t be critical, but look at it with a discerning eye.
Think about things you have promised or mentioned to change, and where has that gotten you?
If there is no action, probably not much has changed except more of the fuss. It’s the same ole thing. And then, you’re slowing discrediting yourself.
Because if you don’t follow-through, the belief from your spouse’s position dwindles.
You have to be willing to do the work. So follow-through on what you know to do.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Follow-through on what you know to do!
It’s not always about having everything figured out and knowing the answers. You have to be willing to decide on your actions and take AIM.
Ask yourself the following questions.
- What are you saying that you’re not doing?
- What one thing can you work on in the follow-through?
- How can you follow-through in your every day?
Follow-through is not easy in anything that we do. It takes what? INTENTIONALITY!
You have to be willing to put in the work that obviously you don’t want to do or that it doesn’t matter to you. Not that this is wrong. However, it’s how you come to the follow-through.
Your marriage is not just about you! There’s two to tango and you have to be willing to give to your spouse, not just yourself.
Because if life is just about you, why are you married?
There’s a lot to chew on. And it’s probably something that makes you squirm in your chair. Being married is a beautiful dance, but it takes consistent practice to create progress in loving your partner.
