When it comes to health and wellness, it’s the gut-wrenching reality checks that wake you up. However, no matter what situation you’re in, you are positioned for a miracle.
Life can drag and drown your every day. Sometimes to the point that you forget how important everyday activities are. All those little things that add up to the bigger picture called “life”!

At times, you experience a little shift of routine, and it throws fast-paced curveballs in all directions. Then, all you find yourself doing is surviving instead of thriving.
Plus, the spotlight of what you couldn’t accomplish is now suffocating what needs to have breath.
Have you ever experienced a reality check which required you to make a change; one not so easy, yet oh so simple?
Yea, it’s those simple answers that stump us the most. Why can’t it be super easy?
Sometimes we get so entangled with the old that we struggle constantly with the new. We can’t seem to catch a break or get the results that we’re longing for.
I would love to tell you the magic formula for getting your mind and body to cooperate. But as you know, it’s not that easy. Because if it was, all of us would be exactly where we needed to be healthwise.
But that’s not how the real world works.
Now, I’m not one who likes to get all “doom and gloom”. Yet, a taste of reality does the mind, body, and spirit good.
So today, I want you to position yourself for success.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Position yourself for success!
This is going to look a little different than what you are used to. But new is good and keeps you on your toes.
Unfortunately, living a healthy lifestyle can be rough and tough; whether it’s physically, emotionally, spiritually, relationally, financially. It really can tug on your habits and your heart. You want one thing, but your habits do another.
And then you introduce the mind game! Hold on, because the ride of a lifetime is about to take-off.
Too much of our days are spent focusing on what could have, should have, and would have happened if we made different decisions. We beat ourselves up over the past hoping that what we do in the present will lead us to a better future.
Now that sounds like all fun and games. Right? Easy, peasy! But not so fast.
The problem is that we see our worth in our future-self. Who needs the present-self if we don’t like it or approve of it. And our past — well that could go either way.
So ultimately, what we are struggling with is accepting the fact that we are loved regardless of how we perceive ourselves.
Let’s get to the point!
You are loved just the same and not more than who you are trying to become.
God loves you just the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. His love for you is not dependent on who you are becoming.
- You don’t have to be thirty pounds lighter to be loved.
- You don’t have to eat paleo perfect every day to be loved.
- You don’t have to be a certain size to be loved.
You are loved. Right now. Yesterday. And tomorrow.
So why do you keep beating yourself up when you are positioned for a miracle?
With this being Holy Week, it’s a good reminder as to how worthy and valued you are. You can’t buy God’s love. Now, you might think you need to buy your spouse’s love, but that’s for another episode.
This is a conversation between you, your mind, your body, your spirit, and God.
If you know how valuable you are, you should want and desire to love yourself even more. And that love constitutes taking care of yourself. No questions asked.
So if that’s the case, then how do you position yourself for success?
- Forgiveness. You have to forgive yourself for what you couldn’t do. It’s as simple as that. Because if you do not, you will always be battling the ghosts of failures.
- Love. You have to love yourself right where you are. Now that doesn’t mean you don’t want to make some changes and see a transformation of in some form or fashion. But without love, you will feel empty inside. You won’t get passed too many weeks in transition. You’ll give up. See yourself as God sees you.
- Hope. Your hope needs to be in what God can do, not what you can do. You aren’t going to become the person you want to be all on your own. There are going to be too many valleys you’ll have to go through and multiple of mountains to climb. In order to sustain your everyday, your hope must be in what God can do in you and through you.
This story of well-being all happened “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)
Today I want to challenge you to look honestly at where you are in your health and wellness? Are you happy where you are? Or could you treat your body better so it could do all of what God designed you to do?
During this season of pause and reset, know that the God who created you in His image has positioned you for a miracle. You are loved!
