Our schedules can lead us astray. We can find ourselves bound by what’s expected while living the busy highlife.
Why do we keep doing what we know is not working?
Well, the easiest answer is because we know it. We are attracted to what is familiar. And until something else can take its place of familiarity, here we sit.
But the problem still exists. You want freedom from where you are. And freedom requires truth.
So how can you begin to make a dent in what seems permanent?

How does the saying go? The best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.
You can’t rush a masterpiece. Have you ever tried painting a masterpiece? If the colors don’t have time to dry, they become distorted and you end up with a bigger mess.
Slow down.
Healthy living is about making it a lifestyle! It’s not about sprinting to the finish line. You must decide what you really want, drop the excuses, and be honest with yourself.
Freedom requires truth.
And in finding the truth, you have to live daily in the midst of transition to experience transformation! That’s getting to the other side.
Transformation takes DAILY effort. It’s not about how many weeks you want to lose weight. It’s not about determining how or what to eat. It’s not about a specific workout or routine. It’s having DAILY DIRECTION and staying the course.
Live DAILY for your well-being!
- DECIDE what you need to work on in regards to your health. You must have an idea of where you want to go. Grow Where You Want to Go (Episode 2005). You just don’t jump in the car and start driving and seeing where you’ll end up. Your health needs direction. You need a GPS system and that starts with where you want to go. You gotta decide.
- Intentionally PLAN your next step. The next step won’t happen unless you decide and commit to what you need to be doing. For me, I could come up with every excuse not to get up when I wake up and work out. But if I made it simple for me to get dressed, working out was not a big deal. In addition to intentionally planning, don’t get stuck in the “be all, end all” goals. Remember, peace of mind is doing what you do best at the time you’re doing it. So show up in your plan.
- Take A.I.M. (Action ignites motivation.) Nothing feels better than seeing yourself take action, feeling your body change, gaining more energy, enjoying clothes that fit better, and soon winning your long-term goal for healthy living. You lifestyle is only a step away.

CHALLENGE: What do you really want out of your life? How do you want to live? What type of lifestyle do you desire?
Give yourself permission to be honest. Don’t hide behind everyone else and what they’re doing. Don’t linger where your goals are buried.
Step into greatness! You are created for a purpose.
Your family needs you. You co-workers need you. Your friends need you. Your community needs you. God needs you!
So be honest where you are and be willing to take the next step no matter how big or how small.
Freedom requires truth.
Stand boldly in the direction of your well-being.
