One of the most difficult things to do is assess what habits are not serving you. You want to change, but are overwhelmed. Start where you are planted.
Whether resolutions are your cup of tea or not, if you want to begin living healthier, you need to consider making lasting changes.

And with anything, changes take time especially if you want them to last.
Think about the last time you tried to make a change. What was your result?
Whether you want to admit it or not, the last time you tried to make a change impacts how your next attempt will go. If it went great, fantastic! You are ready and willing to work hard.
However, if your change was a bit troubling or more of a roller coaster ride, the hesitation is greater than your hopes that you can achieve the change.
Don’t get locked into what you can’t control. Remember the focus; the K.I.S.S.E.S.
So — Make a shift in what habits are not serving you.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Make a shift in what habits are not serving you!
If you want lasting changes that don’t come and go with the holidays or special events, it’s going to require small steps, little tweaks, and slight adjustments to your everyday routine and mindset.
You’re not going to get it perfect the first time.
So set yourself up for success!
Take a few moments and really reflect on what you want to change. Here are three questions to consider.
- What RESONATES with you? This is what charges you up. You can feel it in your body and soul. It’s like, “YES!!!”
- What VALIDATES the direction you want to go with your goals? Do what guides you to where you are headed. If you are wanting to stop drinking alcohol, don’t go to bars with friends because the temptation is too real. Instead, go to a restaurant that supports your intentions.
- What INSPIRES you now and will keep you going? Your inspiration will most likely change every few days or even daily. What keeps your eye on the goal and direction you want to go is going to encourage and motivate you.
