Stress affects many areas of your life.
- Love life
- Heart health
- Teeth and gums
- Sleep
- Emotions
- Bodyweight
- Immune system
- Aging
- Relationships
- Job/Career
- Appetite
The crazy thing is that stress leaks into the nooks and crannies of our every day!
Plus, with our 12,000 to over 50,000 thoughts a day which is primarily negative or neutral, this becomes the greatest recipe for stress.
Then you have to be aware of chronic stress; the kind that persists when you can’t resist. This can lead to:
- Elevated blood sugar which can increase the risk of diabetes
- Weakened immune system
- Leaky gut
- Reduced ability to burn fat and increase belly fat
- Increased risk of depression and anxiety plus mood imbalances
You cannot eliminate all your stress. That is impossible and this is you being very realistic. So increase your chances to reduce your stress by being your best with breaths.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Be your best with breaths!
Here is where you breathe your way to stress relief.
- Elongated inhale and exhale — Focus on your breaths in and out. If your mind begins to drift, redirect your focus on the sound and feeling of your breathing patterns.
- Diaphragmatic breathing — This is also known as abdominal breathing. It helps to reduce the fight-flight response.
- Nostril breathing — This is where you breathe through one of your nostrils while exhaling through the opposite nostril. Then reverse the process.
Your stress can be managed, but it takes a dedicated effort from you.
