Everyone is in search of the quickest and easiest way to get healthy. Who wants to wait twelve weeks for results. What muscle will help you get further faster?
If you were to guess, which muscle would it be?

Your core? More specifically your abs? Your glutes? Your biceps? Maybe even your jaw?
Well, today I want you to take off your literary hat and think more figuratively. The muscle that is going to help you get further faster is your mind!
Now your mind or brain is technically not a muscle. It is an organ that is very unique and complex. Just for the sake of conversation, I want you to look at your mind or brain as a muscle, all because a muscle is “doing” or takes action in order to produce an outcome/result.
The thing is, what I have discovered over the decades is that people are okay with sore muscles, a weekly cheat meal that can lead to months of cheating, or even taking off a few weeks. But what they can’t handle is the thing between your two ears, your mind.
Logically, we reason the other stuff out. But our mind complicates that which we are trying to accomplish.
- Feelings lead to other reasons not to follow through.
- Thoughts derail the journey before you get started and take a chance.
- Over-analyzation [You freeze yourself by overthinking.]
- Worry about what to do or what people think
The mind is a wondrous mystery that can serve you or detain you.
It’s really your choice. And the only way to get around your own mind is to flex your mental muscle.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Flex your mental muscle!
Ultimately, when you flex your mental muscle, it’s all about show ‘n tell and tell ‘n show. You’ve got to create new pathways and connect new neurons that convert to new actions.
- SPEAK to where you are headed. This is where you know your destination. It can be a quick-day goal. And keep in mind, that it doesn’t have to be the end goal. In fact, it’s better if it’s not the end goal. You need shorter sprints to reach the finish line.
- PRACTICE your lifestyle. Practice creates progress. How you want to live is how you need to live.
- Take A.I.M. Action ignites motivation. Here is where you rinse, repeat, and tweak.
No matter what you are working on when it comes to your health, be sure to keep those secrets moving your forward regardless of the results you incur.
