Is moderation the best choice for healthy living? When you over-indulge in anything whether it be food, money, exercise, technology, or entertainment, it can sabotage your goals. By investing in self-control, your field of success expands.
And who doesn’t want to experience success when it comes to healthy living?

So let me ask you. What are you doing for yourself today?
Are you wiling to do what your mind, body, and spirit needs?
Or are you choosing to put yourself on the back burner?
If you didn’t realize, the holidays are around the corner. Life is only going to get more jam-packed with stuff to do. I’m in the same position right now.
So how would you feel if you could design your lifestyle around the holidays and not sacrifice your desire for healthy living?
That just might light you up in many ways.
- How does more energy sound?
- What about restful sleep?
- What about leaving the crabbiness to the little turkeys in the family? More smiles from mom are always better.
Moderation is the best choice for healthy living when you’re willing to honor healthy limits.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Honor healthy limits!
This is where you don’t let yourself crash unnecessarily. Instead, you set limits that work with the season you are in and flex your self-control muscle. Not by willpower, but in moderation.
What does it look like to honor healthy limits?
- Enjoy good things. Because not all things are bad. But you do have to reward yourself and not be a dictator in your life.
- Set realistic goals. You didn’t get where you are today overnight. So take it — “One step at a time leads to miles of greatness!” ~ Kristianne Wargo And open to modifying as needed. One size does not fit all. This is your life. Create your now.
- Ask for help. You don’t have to go after your goals by yourself. Grab an accountability partner that will pull you up with you fall down, and be willing to encourage when your willpower fails you.
- Pray. Ask God to give you the strength to honor your healthy limits.
“If you find honey, eat just enough — too much of it, and you will vomit.” ~ Proverbs 25:27
There is a time for everything. And in this season, don’t fret over sabotaging your goals. Expand your field of success with self-control and moderation.
