Most of us dread making changes that require us to take away something we like or add something we dislike. However, health can be joy-filled. Find joy in your health.
When you look at your reflection, what do you see?

Think about that question for a moment. What do you see?
Shouldn’t it be, “Who do you see?”
For some strange outrageous reasons, we see ourselves as a product of our actions. And yes, that is true.
Yet, you are first created in God’s image. That’s nothing to take lightly. So why do you look at yourself as less than?
Those thoughts and statements come from self-observation and self-reported.
How dare we treat ourselves as trash; as less than. Regardless of the situation or circumstance, you are always created in God’s image. That you cannot ignore.
So if you are created in His image, who do you see?
After you can confirm that in your heart, then you can move to the “What do you see?”.
It’s from that perspective that you can change your actions to produce how you want to care for who you see.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Care for who you see!
You have got to understand the power of your own presence. But when all we do is beat ourselves up for reasons that really don’t matter, all that is left is rubbish.
But that’s not true. No matter where you are in life, your health can be joy-filled. And you truly can find joy in your health.
However, you have to be willing to look at your reflection differently.
- SEE who God sees. You may not like your wrinkles. You may hate your cellulite. You may get upset because you have no hair pigment. You may get frustrated due to the extra fat around the middle. As much as these may be true, you still must look with heavenly eyes. See who God sees.
- CARE for your body as the temple it is. “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) What you eat, you become. What you drink, your cells become. How you move reflects your muscles.
- REST to rejuvenate. Busy is not your badge of honor. God already gave you that. So instead of filling your schedule with anything and everything, do what God has called you to do in the season that you’re in. Don’t overlap and overwhelm for attention. Less is more. Jesus took time to rest, too. In order for Him to serve, it had to come from a full cup. Rest to rejuvenate.
Be sensitive to what you think and say to yourself regarding your body. Your reflection needs to be accepted even if you want to improve what’s reflected.
“I’ve fallen out of love” does not need to be your quiet whisper that resonates deep within your soul. Love yourself first by caring for your body.
