Is inflammation real? It most certainly is. That is why you want to reduce it as much as possible, which in turn helps to treat the root of many health issues.
There are debates or heated discussions as to whether or not inflammation is real.

If you want to be real and honest, inflammation is real!
Inflammation is the body’s normal response to infection or injury. This can be at the cellular level or physically detected with your own eyes.
There are two types of inflammation; acute and chronic.
- Acute Inflammation: The initial response of the body to harmful stimuli and is achieved by the increased movement of white blood cells from the blood into the injured tissue. (Sherwood, Fork Your Diet, Pg. 98) This is short-term.
- Chronic Inflammation: Characterized by systemic and highly activated inflammatory responses circulating in your bloodstream and going everywhere. (Sherwood, Fork Your Diet, Pg. 98)This is long-term.
Yet it continues to get more complicated, because there are 4 signs of inflammation.
- Redness
- Heat
- Swelling
- Pain
Since inflammation is real, then how do you get rid of it or at least, reduce it?
Turn down the heat!

You do not want to get yourself stuck in a position where your body is constantly in battle mode. The more you stress your body, the greater cortisol reaction you will have. And if weight is an issue, you’re working against yourself.
Main Causes of Inflammation
- External injuries like scrapes or damage through foreign objects (for example a thorn in your finger).
- Effects of chemicals or radiation.
- Pathogens (germs) like bacteria, viruses or fungi.
Now reducing inflammation takes time, but it can be done.
- Hot no more! Take your inflammation very seriously. Educate yourself on what inflammation is and how you can care for yourself.
- Eliminate possible causes. What are you doing now that you need to stop? Or maybe you aren’t doing enough of something, like sleep?
- Adopt an anti-inflammatory diet and lifestyle. Pursue exercise, stress-reducing behaviors, a good night’s sleep, and a diet full of colorful, anti-inflammatory foods. This means you are eating lots of greens, drinking water, and enjoying REAL foods.
- Take A.I.M. Action ignites motivation. Inflammation will not magically disappear. You have to put in the work every day.
Your body is your responsibility. God has plans to prosper you, to give you hope and a future. However, you need to be alive for this to work.
