- Not enough time
- Not enough money

- I’ll get to it eventually
- The results don’t come
Regardless, action has to be taken in order to make any change. And that is definitely true for your health.
How do you boost your brain health?
The K.I.S.S. ~ Intentionally walk!
It’s as simple as putting one foot in front of the other.
But what isn’t simple is doing it.
That’s where you have to overcome your excuses.
Your why has to be greater than your excuses.
Your actions have to be consistent to overcome your excuses.
Your brain health is dependent on your movement; walking!
A study published in JAMA Neurology showed a 62% decline in the risk of dementia when walking half an hour at a brisk pace. This study was done on over 78,430 adults in the UK. This is an average of 9,800 steps. Hence, that’s why you hear 10,000 steps a day.
However, these are intentional steps. Not the ones you do every day.
So let’s say you walk on average 4,000 steps, but you want to boost your brain health. Then, you want to walk 14,000 steps total in a day.
This is where the area because a little gray for most.
Keep movement in your every day a priority. Make time to walk. Movement and sleep are both essential to your healthy lifestyle.
Get into a rhythm that increases your heart rate, reduces stress, and restores your body.
Walking. Sleeping.
Which then all leads to waking.
A beautiful cycle of life.
CHALLENGE: In some areas, the trees are already starting to change. So take advantage of the cooler weather, and get outside and walk. Do it safely with friends or in a safe environment. Wear good shoes. Your feet need support.
